5 Of Our Favourite Wedding Dresses Right Now

by Ismay Ozga

We’ve found ourselves super inspired by the beautiful and unusual dresses our clever wedding designer friends have been creating recently. From chic knitted dresses to layers of glorious tulle, we’re loving what’s on offer right now. Basically, if you’re getting married soon, we’re jealous. One of these dresses is bound to be the ONE. Read on for inspiration.

1. COOP Couture, The Bird

Gracie Cooper is a designer with over 15 years experience creating evening gowns. But it was her own wedding dress that inspired her to start COOP Couture. She made it herself, of course. This knitted mini dress caught our eye – as Gracie says ‘it’s perfect for a low-key, modern bride who values practicality over tradition.’ All of Gracie’s dresses are made to order, with a dress like this one starting at £1600, and if you want a beautiful cape to sling over your shoulders as you get wed, they start at £1100.

2. Kate Halfpenny, The Camden

We all know and love Kate Halfpenny’s designs for their unexpected mix of vintage inspiration and super modern cool-ness. And this new dress, the Camden (£2850), from Kate’s new collection ‘The Air That We Breathe’ is no exception. This delicate tulle swing dress is cut in soft gathered tiers, each one embroidered with a spattering of spots. Wear with bright shoes and gold hoops and you’ll be too fabulous for words.

3. Story of My Dress, The Coco

Has there ever been a sweeter dress than Story of My Dress’ Coco? Inspired by Cara’s obsession with sleeves (the bigger the better!) and featuring sweetpeas just like the ones she used to pick with her nanny in her garden, this dress is for brides who don’t shy away from a little romance. Featuring bespoke embroidery (add your wedding date!) the Coco is priced at £1895, Cara has generously provided a code for Patchwork couples – quote ‘PATCHWORK’ when buying your dress from her and she’ll give you 10% off.

4. Bon Bridé, bb10

We discovered Bon Bridé at Most Curious Wedding Fair where Pippa was launching her designs. We obviously fell instantly in love with her uber-sleek, stylish, contemporary dresses. Especially bb10 – a round neck, long sleeve beauty with a cut out back. It’s silk crepe and retails at £2100. Pippa is so kindly offering you lucky people 10% off with the code BONBRIDE:10.

The Luna top and Lyra skirt from Charlie Brear are polka-dot perfection. Seriously, just imagine swishing around in this unique two-piece, with the sun shining and a glass of champagne in hand. Head to Charlie’s showroom or one of her many stockists to try this beauty on.
